The FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2013 are scheduled to be held in Schladming, Styria, Austria, in February 2013. The FIS awarded the Alpine World Skiing Championships on 29 May 2008, in Cape Town, South Africa. The other three finalists were Beaver Creek/Vail, Cortina d'Ampezzo, and St. Moritz.
Schladming last hosted the world championships in 1982; prior to acquiring the 2013 event, it made two unsuccessful bids to host.
